Encanto Park got its start when the millionare philanthropist & chair of the first Phoenix Parks and Recreation Board, William G. Hartranft, decided that Phoenix needed a park to rival San Diego's Balboa Park & San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. At over well over 200 acres Encanto park has something for everyone. There's trails all over, a lagoon & boat house, 2 golf courses, picnic areas, playgrounds, & even an Amusement Park. Stop for a ride break or stay all day, you won't be dissapointed.
