Somewhat hidden, but it's worth the trip. Great view of the Leinetal. Beware of crashing front on the tip, nothing for kids in my opinion ...

Between the quarry and the landslide, the Hohenstein rises from the mountainside, with its top at the height of the Odenberg ridge. This narrow, vertically rising rock on the edge of the Wolfsschlucht must have been the most striking landmark in the Glenetal in earlier times, until - towards the end of the 19th century - the Kikedal began to slide over a large area and the edge of the landslide has since then taken over the visual dominance, visible from afar. Due to the dense tree population, the Hohenstein can currently only be seen between tall beech trees in the winter months. The former importance of the Hohenstein is expressed, among other things, by its inclusion in the Brunkensen local song.
