The late Romanesque building was built around 1200. The current west tower was built after 1857. During the major reconstruction from 1701 to 1706, the church received the high Gothic gable roof. In the hall there is a three-sided wooden gallery with rich carvings from around 1701, a late Baroque baptismal angel and a wooden pulpit altar. The baptismal font is a neo-Renaissance sandstone work from around 1850.
The old Geißler organ was restored in 2011.
