The Powderhorn Wilderness doesn't have a ton of trails, so most of the areas that you can get to are pretty primitive and natural. The trail leading up to the lakes is fairly well-kept during the summer months and offers a lot of solitude. The lakes consist of a smaller pond that you pass on your way to the larger upper lake.
