This old roadbed serves as a connector/access trail to Bear Point and Mount Eklutna, along with some lesser-known hikes and climbs in the area. Those trails aren't really bike-able but the Peters Creek Trail itself is, and in winter you'll see people riding fat bikes or cross-country skiing here. As always, you should be aware of the potential for wildlife encounters and know what to do if you run into a bear or moose.
