Very quiet dirt road along the edge of the forest in the south, almost unusable by car so the most traffic you get is the odd motorbike, but at least in dry weather it's mostly smooth rolling by bike. Lots of short downhills and punchy climbs. Turns into grassy and occasionally washed-out singletrack before joining the main road in the north.
The detour inside the reserve is not worth it unless you're looking for a bungalow to spend the night; you'd have to book at the office north of the reserve though.
