Bad Goisern is predominantly Protestant, so the local cemetery is right next to the Protestant church. A monument to the Star Children was erected there as part of the Capital of Culture campaign.

In 1782, the Protestant Goiserns were allowed to build a wooden prayer house. It was replaced by a stone structure between 1813 and 1816. It wasn't until 1859 that the building received a bell tower. The interior renovation made the building bright and welcoming.
