The Peter A. Beachy House is a house in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park, Illinois, that was completely remodeled in 1906 by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The house that stands today is almost entirely different from the original house on this site, a Gothic cottage. The house is listed as a contributing property to the Frank Lloyd Wright-Prairie School of Architecture Historic District in the U.S. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The original house, a Gothic cottage, was almost completely replaced when banker Peter A. Beachy hired Frank Lloyd Wright to "remodel" the house. The house stands at right angles to the street to utilize part of the house's original foundation and to make the most of its southern exposure. Wright built this home after returning from a trip to Japan, and the exterior features several Japanese-inspired elements. Great house
