    Hiking

Dykes Pond is a large freshwater pond that is damed on its eastern side and provides drinking water for the town of Gloucester. This picturesque lake has a trail that circumnavigates it and links up with some of the trails in the Mount Ann Reservation. You get great views of the lake along the entirety of the loop, but you get especially good views here, near the dam. The trail itself is generally moderate, but there are a few steep sections here and there.
