You get there with some fairly steep climbs, but it offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and Tirano.

Hiking
It was the highest point of the walls of Tirano and like practically all the other castles of Valtellina it was destroyed in 1526 and never rebuilt.
It is called the castle of Santa Maria because in the Middle Ages there was a small church dedicated to Mary in that very area.
