Mead Mountain sits at 660 feet above sea level. Dogs are allowed, but beware of porcupines in the area. The path follows dirt roads for a bit; the trail starts wide and narrows closer to the top. The hike opened in 2016 and goes near the summit, but the true summit is on private property. Hikers reach the end of the trail close to the top and are rewarded with nice views of rolling forest hills and the valley below.
