In the castle park, among the other sights, there is a quarry, a decorated column, the seven island pond and the castle lake. In 1913, Eduard's son Jacob had an Ice Age boulder with the inscription 1813 - 1913 erected in the park to mark the centenary of the victory of the coalition troops in the Battle of Leipzig. According to a popular legend, the stone is about a virgin who refused to marry a poor farmer from Damsendorf and preferred to turn to stone.
