In 1890, the Swedish Tourist Association (STF) built a tourist cabin with overnight accommodation at the Njoammelsaskam - Harspänget waterfall. At the same time, the hiking trail between Gallivare - PorjusHarspranget was created. There, tourists could marvel at the mighty and untamed waterfalls along the upper part of the Great Lule River. In the cabin's guest book we find the names of many famous Swedes.

Hiking
The viewing point can be reached via a number of beautifully laid out wooden walkways and stairs. Access is therefore not wheelchair accessible. The gorge is impressive. A stop here is definitely worth it. Numerous benches with and without tables invite you to have a picnic. The parking lot is located directly on the E45.
