It's easy to overlook this trail, as your focus is often on the lower reservoir, and it's not clearly marked. The trail features a steep incline with loose gravel in some sections, so it's advisable to wear appropriate footwear. Upon reaching the summit, your efforts are rewarded with views of the Palmer Lake area as the trees begin to thin out.
