The Savage River Loop Trail is one of the most maintained and popular trail in the park, but you can try to dodge some of the crowds by going early in the morning. This is a really well-marked and straight-forward trail that offers open views pretty much the entire time. Being slightly uphill on the way out, it's easy to fly on the way back.
