The Senda de las Gullurías is an old mountain path used by the inhabitants of Ucero to enter the mountains and collect aromatic herbs, extract wood, hunt, make honey, make lime and charcoal or visit the monks of the hermitage of San Bartolomé , which is in one of the most beautiful and magical corners of the Lobos River canyon, linked to the medieval Templars and always wrapped in a halo of mystery and legend. A “gulluria” is a species of singing lark common in the mountains and forests around the Lobos River and the Ucero River valley. The old trail is dedicated to the friendly bird, has its own name and is well signposted with the milestones of the PRC-SO 67. The starting point of the trail is the parking lot of the Casa del Parque, one kilometer from Ucero. At the beginning of the path there is the information panel for the route and other signs for the GR-86. The first slope goes up the Molino ravine and immediately enters the juniper forests of Nafría, a good warm-up section. On one side of the road you can see an old restored lime kiln and shortly after, the junction with the Senda del Vallejo appears, which goes up to the left from Ucero.
