A route for vertigo, the climb to Oulles offers a very quiet route, away from traffic.
Magnificent views over the Lignarre valley and Alpe d'Huez at the bottom of the route, then over the high peaks of Oisans (Meije, Rateau, Glacier de la Girose) as you go. that we rise.
Course among pine trees, Mediterranean scents, the slope is south-facing - and therefore very hot.
Approx. 6.5km, D+700m

This was a beautiful, challenging climb. There were hardly any other cyclists or cars. Ideal if you're looking for some peace and quiet and adventure.
