Remains of the former abode. The housewives brought the dirty laundry here and washed it. Dirty pieces of laundry were placed on the stone, soaped with home-cooked soap, rubbed with a brush or beaten against the stone. Then they rinsed it in water. They washed in summer and winter, usually on Saturdays or Mondays. This method of washing was laborious and time-consuming.
