Dreiländerstein (Lower Austria–Styria–Burgenland)

Historically, it is mentioned that the stone was brought to the agreed place with eight horses. Shortly before the finish, however, broke a cartwheel. Thus, the stone remained on this spot.

The historians are not quite in agreement, but the landmark here is said to have been brought here in 1867. Quite that should not have worked out, since 1914 again trying to set it up. But in 1919 it was probably time and the stone stood at the present place. In addition to the landmark there are some interesting information boards, a cross, as well as benches and tables for resting in this clearing. Somewhat astonished me the high number of toilets there is, since you are practically in the middle of the forest. However, there is a big service every year in September, which is probably why.
