At this junction, the long-distance Pacific Northwest Trail meets with the Robinson Creek Trail. The latter one can be used to get off trail if you need to. It was maintained after the 2022 fire and leads to Slate Pass and Harts Pass Ranger Station. The area around the junction has some really nice flat spots nestled under trees to camp.
