The barn had almost completely fallen into disrepair and was completely unused until the decision was made to renovate the "classical field barn" from 1816. The decision was made in 2007, and the Repsstadel was officially inaugurated in 2009 and has been used for cultural events ever since.
If you fancy a longer break, you can roll into Rottenburg. The Rottenburg nature trail, the local history and craft museum and the radio museum are all worth seeing there.
