The John Kieran Nature Preserve is a small nature preserve located in the northeast corner of Rockport. There is a short walking loop that takes you through a forest, with some old, large hardwood trees, and in the spring, past many different types of wildflowers and other plants. This is a great place for birdwatching too and a nice reprieve from the hot, sunny beaches in the summertime.
