The church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio is a place of Catholic worship with baroque forms, located on the road to Visiano in Visiano, a hamlet of Medesano, in the province and diocese of Parma.
The place of worship was originally built in medieval times; the oldest testimony of its existence dates back to 1299, when the chapel was mentioned in the Ratio Decimarum of the diocese of Parma among the dependencies of the parish church of Fornovo.

In 1564 the church was elevated to an autonomous parish seat.

At the end of the 17th century the temple was assigned jurisdiction to the parish church of Cusignano, but was subsequently aggregated to the vicariate of Medesano.

Around 1980, following the depopulation of the small mountain village, the church became a subsidiary of the parish of San Michele di Roccalanzona.

In 1997 the place of worship, now in ruins due to abandonment and the earthquakes that affected the area over time, was renovated with funding from a committee of Visianese; the works involved the entire building, with the exception of the bell tower.
