Increasingly wet trail is a sure sign that you're near Bourne Pond, which is often buggy and surrounded by muddy trails. But when conditions are reasonably dry this is a very popular destination, and some determined hikers and backpackers even slog through mud and standing water to reach the shore of this pretty pond.
