A first church is mentioned in Neumark already 1348. However, it burned out in 1531. The new building was in 1826 again a victim of the flames. The present church is a plaster construction with a wooden tower rising from the roof. It was expropriated after 1945 in favor of the Catholic Church in Poland and dedicated to the name of Matki Boskiej Wspomożenia Wiernych.

Stare Czarnowo is a large village that once belonged to the Cistercians from Kołbacz. In the central part of the town, the first church was most likely built in the 12th century. Destroyed by fire in 1531, it was replaced by another one. The current shape of the temple is the result of a thorough reconstruction of the building carried out in 1826. During World War II, the church was used as a warehouse. A wooden tower with clock faces is embedded in the nave. Next to the temple, there is a monument dedicated to the deceased firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Department in Stare Czarnów and a metal cross commemorating the two thousand years of Christianity. The parish was established in 1951.
