Part of Scone Garden the Pinetum is the home of an impressive collection of rare species, including Hemlocks, Noble Firs and Sequoias. And a fitting tribute to David Douglas, the famous early 19th century explorer and botanist who was born in Scone. Who collected over 200 new species of plants. including lupins, phlox, sunflowers, Californian poppy, mimulus, flowering currant and snowberry which are seen in gardens across the UK.
