This trail has been extensively 'maintained' so that erosion from the many walkers is kept to a minimum. So climbing it is a nightmare of pushing up steps. However, descending it can be a lot of fun, if you keep your wits about you!

The beauty, relatively small size (relatively) and proximity to Callander of Ben Ledi makes this a popular route for walkers too - but on the whole they're a polite bunch if you're friendly and give way to them.

Almost impassable on any kind of bike, unless you’re a World Cup DH rider and even then I think you’d probably struggle - certainly not worth making a special trip for!
