Only very rarely, actually never, is this tour possible as described: the Slufter is almost never traversable on foot from the sea side. The water is always too deep!

The Wadden Sea has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2009. This is due to the unique combination of tidal action, sandbanks and the special biodiversity. It is one of the few places in the world where the tidal difference is so great and where nature has such a dynamic character.
