As shown in the picture, the next section of this coastal run (to be honest walk) is accessed by an old ladder bolted to the cliff. After the ladder the trail crosses the beach and becomes tidal with no escape path so make sure you have enough time to get to the fossil tree and back. The ladder feels a bit old but also quite solid, make your own judgment!
