Triangle Mountain stands at 8,415 feet above sea level near the North Fork of the Big Thompson River. Triangle Mountain is somewhat overlooked in favor of Crosier and Round Mountains, which are two taller nearby peaks. Triangle Mountain, however, is a great alternative to those two mountains if you wish to escape the crowds and complete a comparatively shorter easier hike. At the top of Triangle Mountain there is a large cairn and a summit register. From here, you get great views of the Comanche Peaks Wilderness, and the northeastern side of Rocky Mountain National Park.
