Prora Architectural Complex

Meanwhile, the "Prora Documentation Center" of the New Culture Foundation provides political background information and shows the use of Prora from 1936 to the present day.
In 2008, the opening of a high ropes course was celebrated on the coastal forest area of the complex. In 2011, a long-planned youth hostel was completed in the northern part of the complex. With one exception, the Federal Agency for Real Estate has now sold all of the building blocks to private investors. Luxury apartments and a hotel are to be built here.

The information center is worth checking out. The redesign paid off. Looks very nice from the outside.

The size of this former holiday property alone is impressive enough. After its (re-)use by the GDR holiday authorities, it has finally found another useful use. A suitable clientele has now been attracted, which is probably also in the interests of the town of Binz. I hope that the last buildings will also find a use.
