Piazza Mino da Fiesole is the center of Fiesole. Located in the Forum of ancient Fesulae, it has an irregular shape, a double trapezium, and both the symbols of religious and temporal power appear on it. The western half is in fact dominated by the cathedral, the Bishop's Palace and the Seminary, while the higher eastern half is dominated by the Praetorian Palace and the church of Santa Maria Primerana, as well as by the monument to the Meeting of Teano, a work in bronze by Oreste Calzolari (1906) showing Vittorio Emanuele II and Garibaldi on horseback.
