The eventful history of the castle of a hunting residence, a widow's seat of the Nassau-Beilsteinchen Gräfinnen, a school building, a residential building and a workshop found its current end as the seat of the municipality of the municipality Mengerskirchen with integrated Civic Hall and Tower Museum.
