The Galičica Mountains, located between Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa, have been a national park since 1958. The Magaro (north of the pass road is the highest mountain here at 2255 meters. The Galičica National Park has a size of approx. 242 square kilometers. The front line ran here during the First World War.

Driving through the NP by car is subject to a fee.
