The trail west of here, heading toward Potter Creek, generally offers the firmest footing of the entire Turnagain Arm Trail, although there may be some persistent patches of slick mud.

Heading east of here toward the next trailhead, Rainbow, the trail gets a little narrower and footing is a little less stable, but still runnable.
