Artificial ruin in the Föhrenwald on the Kalenderberg, built in 1810 by Prince Johann I von und zu Liechtenstein as a lookout tower. The design is by Joseph Hartmuth. He used stylistic elements of the Roman Coliseum: a semicircular arch consisting of 16 vaulted arches supported by massive pillars and Doric columns and two towers. Through one of the towers you could reach the top of the wall via a stone staircase.

In the meantime, the pines tower over the building, the staircase has long since been walled down for safety reasons.

The amphitheater at Calendar Mountain is an artificial ruin built in the 19th century by the Prince of Liechtenstein to beautify the forest. It is one of the romantic structures that were part of the Liechtenstein Landscape Park, Austria's first English landscape park. The amphitheater was modeled after the Roman Colosseum and has 16 arches with massive pillars and Doric columns. It was used as a viewing tower and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
