This fire road trail has a mix of redwoods and wildflowers along the route, with incredible mountainside views and uninterrupted ocean views as it winds you high above the Pacific. Motorized vehicles are prohibited, although you may encounter a service vehicle or two. After a mile, the shade ends, so bring plenty of water. The entire path is an incline all the way to Terrace Trail, which continues to Outlaw Camp, part of the Hot Springs loop that begins at Pfeiffer Park if you are looking for an extended hike.
