Entrance and visitor center for Mount Longonot National Park. The park road from here quickly deteriorates to rough gravel, so for road bikes it's best to safely leave them here with the guards. The adjacent Shepard's Camp has long not served for tourist accommodation, but the rangers who stay there arranged with the camp manager to allow pitching the tent overnight, and even provided clean drinking water and electricity.
