08/31/2023 - Weißbriach experienced an economic boom in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. when cardboard factories were built in Gössering and Grünburg. In 1888, 60 workers were already employed in Johann Memmer's Grünburg factory and 70 horse teams were on the move every day. The wood had to be brought to the factory and the cardboard to the Thörl-Maglern train station.
