Cala Barques is seven kilometers from Pollença and is separated from Cala Clara by Punta dels Ferrers; it is part of four beaches called Cala Sant Vicenç.

Cala Sant Vicenç has served as a natural setting for films such as Jack el negro, directed by J. Duvivier and starring George Sanders. The prehistoric caves of great archaeological importance in s’Alzinaret nearby can be visited.
Surrounded by holiday facilities and private homes, this beach preserves its seafaring past in the form of a small jetty. Due to the tourist center, the number of visitors, locals and tourists, is high.
The water and underwater conditions are suitable for anchoring, provided that a shoal that is less than a meter of water and is 200 meters from shore is avoided, and care should be taken with north-northeast winds churning the sea. When these two obstacles have been overcome, you will find a sandy bottom three meters deep, 300 meters from the coast. Port de Pollença is 16.4 nautical miles away.
Getting there by car is easy, just follow the signs. At the end of the route there is a parking lot where you can park your car for free. The last part to the beach you have to walk down stairs to the beach, which are not suitable for the disabled. You can also take the public bus; the next stop is right on the beach.
