The mountain that rises in the border area between Dorfgastein in the east and Großarl in the Grossarltal] in the west is a mountain in the northern foothills of the Hohe Tauern.

The Fulseck forms with the Kreuzkogel (Dorfgastein) one of the two hubs in the Dorfgastein - Grossarltal ski area. It is connected to the Gastein Valley and via the Kreuzkogel to the Grossarl Valley via numerous ascent aids, with the Fulseck cable car being the central feeder. The Fulseck is a popular starting point for paragliding in both summer and winter and the Austrian state champion in tandem flying, Lois Grugger from Bad Hofgastein, offers tandem flights for brave people.

The Fulseck is surrounded by alpine pastures where alpine farming is still practiced and is easily accessible through several hiking trails. They lead up from both the Gastein Valley and the Grossarl Valley and enable pleasant hikes on easily accessible paths with a wonderful panoramic view of the Gastein Valley, the Radstädter Tauern, the Sladin and Bärnkogel peaks, the Schuhflicker, the Stubnerkogel, in the Ellmau Valley, to the Großglockner, to the Goldberg group with the Hohe Sonnblick, the Birnhorn in the Leoganger Steinberge up to the Dachstein massif.
