The Provo River Parkway – Bridal Veil Falls loop from Provo offers a truly immersive road cycling experience, tracing the Provo River through varied landscapes before ascending into the dramatic Provo Canyon. You'll pedal past lush trees, towering cliffs, and enjoy continuous river views, culminating in the impressive 607-foot, double-tiered Bridal Veil Falls. This is a difficult 54.8-mile (88.2 km) route, featuring 5695 feet (1736 metres) of elevation gain, and typically takes about 4 hours and 49 minutes to complete.

While the full Provo River Parkway cycling difficulty and elevation make it a challenge for experienced riders, the paved, multi-use trail has numerous access points, allowing for shorter, family-friendly sections. The canyon portion provides welcome shade, making it a pleasant ride even on warmer days. Consider starting early to make the most of the cooler temperatures and less crowded paths.

This route is a standout for its blend of accessibility and spectacular natural features, particularly the iconic Bridal Veil Falls. The continuous presence of the Provo River and the transition from urban parks to the rugged beauty of Provo Canyon make it one of the more popular routes for cyclists in the region, offering diverse viewpoints and terrain.
