The trail is especially fun in the first section - coming from the south, to the crossroads of the forest path. A must in both directions when crossing the forest of Stelzenberg.
The second section after the forest path is quite steep and wet at the Hungerbrunnen and interspersed with sandstones. Once you have mastered this point, it can then easily be rolled out to the Alte Schmelz on a wider path.
