These Douglas firs (or Oregon pines) were brought back around 1872 from Canada by the Count of Sablons and the general councilor, Laurent BONNEVAY. The count planted a large number of them. Around ten survivors from this period are still visible in the Corcelles woods. They measure 55 to 57 meters high, 4.50 meters in circumference 1.50 meters from the ground.
