In 1947, a chapel was built on the banks of the Keersop in Westerhoven in memory of the fallen of the Second World War. Close to the famous Valentinusputje. A wonderful well, the water of which never freezes and is higher than the water surface of the Keersop next to it. Now, seventy years later, it is undoubtedly the most idyllic place in Westerhoven. With a monumental status.
The Valentinus chapel was built on the foundations of a distant predecessor. On a triangular piece of land that had never been plowed out of respect for the past.
