A pretty monastery complex on the edge of the Lasithi plateau. The area and the monastery chapel are freely accessible and appear well-kept.

Hiking
As Volker has already written here, it's a nice, quiet complex. The monastery is not far from the road and easy to reach without special footwear or anything like that. It's also doable for families with children and strollers.
