A beautiful large rest area with a monument to the composer and singer Herbert Roth (Rennsteiglied). Is located directly on the Rennsteig (and unfortunately also on the road) direction Schmücke.
The original Rennsteig direction Mordfleck is here criss-crossed with roots, for the touring cyclists, but there is an extra bike path through the forest (Gipfelweg).
