From the mountain station of the Starjet 2, the path leads – past the Latschenhof – through the ski area for a good 30 minutes. Then you leave the road and climb the 1,991 meter high Grießenkareck, visible from afar, via a somewhat steeper path. And only now do you discover the Saukarfunktel behind it: the summit has the shape of a small pyramid and consists of mighty boulders that are covered with lichen.

Part of a beautiful circular hiking trail. Hiking trail number 41 - past the war memorial crosses and the "Schneid" along to the Grießenkareck (1,991 meters) - further over the Saukarfunktel (2,028 meters) to the Saukarkopf (2,014 meters) - junction Frauenalm number 41 - turn left at the Frauenalm fork in the road number 45 - back to the Berggasthof Latschenhof.
Running time almost four hours.
If you want to do a small circular hike, you can turn right after the Grießenkareck (path number 45) and walk back to the mountain station.
