The Evangelical Jager Chapel was built around 1830. At an earlier time there was already a chapel in the town, which was built as a half-timbered building. It appeared in 1697 when the church meadow was surveyed on the occasion of the Swedish survey of Western Pomerania. At the beginning of the 19th century, however, the building was dilapidated and was replaced by a new building in 1830. In 1988 the parish carried out a comprehensive renovation, which was temporarily completed a year later with a new bell tower. The new church consecration took place on the occasion of a service by Horst Gienke.[1] In 2016, craftsmen renovated the facade.
