Chief Sitting Bull, or Tatanka Iyotake, was a Hunkpapa Teton Sioux spiritual leader.

Sitting Bull was originally buried at Fort Yates, but a group of businessmen from Mobridge, South Dakota, moved the grave to their town in the 1950's to attract tourist. This created a large controversy between South Dakota and North Dakota (where Sitting Bull was originally buried). Now there are two monuments for Sitting Bull: one in Mobridge and one in Fort Yates.
